Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker

The Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker is a newer version of other Fisher-Price Walkers. Until my twin Granddaughters had one of the earlier versions I didn’t realize that walkers were still made. Somehow I had in mind that due to toddlers falling down flights of stairs using walkers that they were no longer offered. However it seemed I was wrong.

My Granddaughters used their walker often. The Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker is suitable for toddlers that are pulling themselves up and trying to take steps. Our girls spent quite a bit of time paying with the activities on the front of it. The Zebra Walker has many interactive things to explore. These include light-up buttons, a page when turned give learning phrases and songs, a switch to flip, a dial to twist, a flip with which to play peek-a-boo, a roller ball to spin, and buttons that play the A,B,C’s, and 1,2,3 etc.

When the child is ready to stand, hold on to the handle and push it is wise for parents to initially help. For some children wedging the walker against a wall so it does not run away on them is a good idea. For others Mom or Dad can just steady it until the toddler can take the first steps with it. It does not take long for them to be off and cruising the room. It goes without saying this must all be done in a safe place (no stairs). For our girls they were on carpet and had no problem pushing it.

What Other Say About the Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker

My Granddaughters used and enjoyed their walker. The Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker is a newer version and owners of it say this:

The Fisher-price zebra walker has been great and the price couldn’t be beat! We got this when our little guy was about 6 months old, so we aren’t actually using it as a “walker” yet, but more of just a toy (for now). He loves the lights and sounds, and multiple things he can press/flip/spin. Yes, the songs do get annoying after a while, but that seems to be most baby toys 🙂 The only “issue” we have found that others have mentioned is that it can slide out from under them when they are trying to stand up on it, so for now, we have backed it up against something so he can push and stand on it without the fear of it moving, and we also discovered that putting a throw pillow under it between all the legs makes it so it really doesn’t move much. We can’t wait for our son to start using this as a “walker” soon, and expect it will be great for that too, but we’re really glad we got it when we did since he’s gotten so much use out of it already…

EDIT: Our son is now 10 months old and is using it as an actual walker now 🙂 Now that he is able to kneel and stand up onto it on his own, he doesn’t have issues with it sliding out from under him, and he gets a big grin on his face when he starts “walking” with it! He is zooming all over our living room with it – loves it!

Cute & fun toy for my 9 month old; ours loves the lights, music and all the activities on the front for play. Only problem is wheels spin freely with nothing hindering them from moving very fast out from under the kid. If you’re counting on your not yet walker to use, make sure you’re holding onto it at all times or it will go flying out from under them! My baby has ended up on the floor behind it since it got away from her.

Our daughter loves her zebra walker. At first she wasn’t too sure about it, so we would park it again the wall and she plays for hours with the buttons and songs. When she hit about 10 months it was time to start using it for it’s intended purpose! She just decided one day she wanted it away from the wall and she MOVES with this thing. As a tiny baby she hated us pulling her arms up over her head, and she still isn’t a fan, which makes it hard to hold her hands while she tries to learn how to walk with one of us. The zebra walker keeps her upright with good baby posture and she can go as fast or as slow as she likes. We have hardwood and carpet and the walker rolls right over the transfer strip just fine.

My daughter was so excited when I first put this together for her. It does require screw driver and come with what you need for assembly, but it’s pretty easy. She loves it, and batteries aren’t included. This was her when she first got a hold of it, pushed it around like a pro right away!
Of course trying to show grandma the next day; not so much, but maybe she will grab it, and walk around like she did again tomorrow. Who knows, but the product is great, and she was happy.
